The Old Chaple, Upper Town, Birchover DE4 2BJ |
The Old Chapel is found in a picturesque location in the heart of Birchover, a pretty and popular Peak District village. The village boasts two well used inns (The Druids Inn and The Red Lion). The Old Chapel was originally constructed in 1867 and extended in 1925 from locally quarried gritstone, and following deconsecration, was sympathetically converted into two almost equal sized cottages 20 years ago. Since then, the cottages have undergone further, considerable refurbishment. Nine Ladies and Andlestone Cottages comprise four bathrooms and two kitchens all of which were completely replaced during January 2013. Each cottage is currently entirely independent; however, there is the potential for a connecting door at first floor level (subject to building and planning regulations).
